I am incredibly passionate about ending domestic violence. Native American women are 3 times more likely to be sexually assaulted, and there is little preventative programs in place on reservations to help stop the violence.
This Thanksgiving, I am thankful I will be going on the Navajo Nation Spring Break Trip to Window Rock, AZ. There, we will be working with the Navajo Nation’s Department of Justice, Supreme Court and District Court as well as a legal aid office exclusively serving low-income Native Americans. I will have the opportunity to directly help domestic violence victims through this program, and learn how to make a difference first-hand.
It is only possible through fundraising that 10 of us will be able to attend. We are hoping to raise around $10,000 for our trip, and every little bit counts. If anyone would like to contribute to this chance of a lifetime to help the less fortunate, please go to:https://www.bc.edu/content/bc/schools/law/alumni/giving/online_giving_form.html

If you are comfortable doing so, I would also ask that you email BCLSnavajonation@gmail.com with the donation amount as a receipt to ensure it gets to us directly.
Thank you for helping me achieve my goals!
